Worldwide Skype Tuition (60 minutes) - English
I love using Skype to teach English! Both my primary age students and my students in their last years of schooling love how easy Skype makes it for us to collaborate on their learning and enjoy discovering new skills on their computers while we work. Technology such as screen share makes it so easy for us to collaborate on written pieces, and online games, activities and guides are also used to support learning. The chat function enables the student to access all of the notes we have made from the lesson, which they can use for homework or revision outside of the lesson, and free online resource-sharing websites are used to give students access to supporting materials for us to work on together. Students can develop their ICT skills while they learn and don't even need to leave home!
Every student receives a FREE introductory Skype session, where we can meet each other, I can find out more about their learning goals and needs and can show them what to expect on Skype. Students also receive a pack of 'hard copy' resources to make sure they have everything they need for our lessons. Each term, parents will receive a short update on their child's progress and what they will be working on in the following term, which can be shared with your child's school.
Face-to-Face Tuition - 60 minutes - English
Structured, multi-sensory tutoring session which allows learners to work on the goals we have agreed together in a fun and safe learning environment. I try to use lots of games in my teaching to keep the sessions engaging and memorable, as well as linking them to your child's interests and school learning as often as possible. I work with each of my learners on spelling and reading strategies they can use to help them outside of lessons, as well as building on comprehension and punctuation. Older students will also focus more on academic reading and writing, as well as ideas for planning, note-taking and revision.

Face-to-Face Tuition - 60 minutes - Maths
Structured, multi-sensory 1:1 sessions for children in the primary grades who receive schooling in English.
Learners work on individual goals we have agreed together in a fun and safe learning environment. I try to use lots of games in my teaching to keep the sessions engaging and memorable, as well as linking them to your child's interests and school learning as often as possible. I work with each of my learners on the maths basics they need to help them fill the gaps in their learning, as well as building on their strengths to support them with the age level content they will be working on in class. We use lots of resources to help make learning visible and practise strategies together which they can use to help them outside of lessons.
